SÄRIN 2019

For the 4th time, the Culture Festival SÄRIN opens its doors at the Rapla Culture Club BAAS. We bring together friends and creators of film, music, theatre, art and literature from Rapla County and the rest of Estonia. Our goal is to share an experience of art with people of all ages, and bring a sizzling joy of life into our small town.

Performing on stage this year are Dagö, Anna Kaneelina, Jarek Kasar and Vaiko Eplik, Duo Ruut, INGER, Nagy Bögö, Kangelased, many DJ-s, The legendary Rapla band Vunkz celebrates its 20th birthday with a concert, and the local young music scene is represented by Blufellas.

Theatrical performances include “Beating at the Manor Stables” by the Must Kast troupe. A public recording of Night University radio program features guest Valdur Mikita. We’ll also have a conversation with Toomas Paul and Tõnu Õnnepalu, an exhibition programme, and a cafe morning with writer Mika Keränen for families. The Good Food Courtyard will be open.

MANFRED DUBOV
TAKING THUNDER HOME

Manfred Dubov (s.19..) is a painter and paramedic. His works deal with connections between body, soul and nature, based on the author’s memories.  He has conducted art projects such as “I Come from Many Places” (Vaal Gallery 2018) and “Fracturae (Hobusepea / Draakoni Gallery 2013, and issued a poetry book “Today, Everything Will Be Found” in 2016 which was awarded the Betti Alver prize.
