LIGHT

Late November and early December are the darkest time of the year. The exhibition LIGHT brings you dialogues and interactions by 15 authors with the phenomenon of light. Glass is the predominant material, becoming light’s perfect partner through its transparency. A sense of mystery and eternity permeates the pieces, from Kati Kerstna’s singing “Wells” through Eve Koha’s dream-like geometry, Sofi Aršas’s visions of history, Piret Ellamaa’s yearning for stars, to Torsten Rötzch’s haunting “Northern Light.” Designer Ain Toim’s ethereal installation “Poetry for Three” is dedicated to poetess Kristiina Ehin, whose verses are part of the work. Also participating is Estonia’s most celebrated glass artist Ivo Lill.
