The play tells the story of the historic meeting of two great artists, Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin, in Arles, France in 1888. Both of them were important art innovators and charismatic personalities who nevertheless saw the ideals of art quite differently. The play tells the story of the beauty and tragedy of these creative and human endeavours.
