Drawing and painting course

Our drawing and painting course is once again waiting for art lovers!

The course consists of autumn and spring semesters. The autumn course begins with various exercises that help you draw more freely and repeat the basics of drawing, such as proportion, light, perspective, etc. At the same time, we will practice with different materials such as charcoal, graphite, pastel, inks and watercolour. We make sketches and shorter-term paintings.

The course takes place regularly every Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00.
The autumn semester starts on October 1st and ends on December 17th. Both beginners and advanced practitioners are welcome.

In the spring semester, we will focus on longer-term painting. At the end of the spring semester, there will be an exhibition.

The monthly fee for the course is 50 euros. The price of the first semester is 135 euros (discount when paying at once)

Seminar on Gallery Lighting

On Monday, 20 October, a seminar on gallery lighting took place at the Rapla County Centre for Contemporary Art, where Marco Planting, a representative of ERCO Lighting, introduced various gallery lighting and exhibition lighting options.

The seminar was accompanied by a practical workshop, which was facilitated by Meelis Tähepõld and Margus Soa from Hedengren Eesti OÜ. The seminar was attended by representatives of various galleries, museums and associations from all over Estonia: Madis Matesen (Estonian History Museum), Maret Tamme (Tartu Art House), Valmar Pappel (Art Museum of Estonia, EKM), Indrek Grigor (Tartu Art Museum TARTMUS), Aleksei Saks (REMOTE EXPO/REMOTE CONTROL), Stella Mõttus (Kogo Gallery), Stina Leek (KETT gallery), Johannes Luik (EKKKM), Annegret Kriisa (Tartu Art Museum TARTMUS), Indrek Köster (Estonian Artists’ Association), Üla Koppel (Okas Museum), Kati Kerstna (Estonian Glass Artists’ Association) Breakfast Mari Voksep (Resto Sinu kodus)

Drawing and Painting course

We welcome you to paint and draw on Thursdays from 18:00 to 20:00.
The course starts on 2 October and lasts until 18 December. The course fee is 50 euros per month, if paid by semester, the discount price for 3 months is 135 euros. The course begins with various drawing exercises. In November, we will continue with painting etudes in different techniques, supervised by Kairi Orgusaar. As the technique of the spring exhibition is oil painting, we will focus on oil painting techniques at the end of this semester.

Painting and Drawing Course

You are welcome to paint and draw!
In the autumn semester, we will focus on watercolour. Let’s start by drawing with a brush. How to get a sensitive line? What accents can be created with different brushes. Light and line in the picture. Monochrome painting.

Next, we will experiment with different watercolour techniques. Layered watercolour and wet wet painting. Let’s look at the different effects and colour removal options. We paint different arrangements, portraits and abstract improvisations.

Kids’ Art Day

Children aged 6-12 are welcome to make cartoons, paint, draw and make crafts You can register here: riin [dot] pallon [at] gmail [dot] com Art Day is free of charge!

Come only when you feel that you are completely healthy. Keep a reasonable distance from others, the tables are scattered throughout the room. Hand sanitiser is available as soon as you step through the door, we recommend using it.
