The exhibition conveys stories of women and men, and their attitudes toward each other. Different ideas of gender roles blend with notions of the arbitrariness of said roles. Within-gender variability is the reason why finding one’s place in society is both exciting and difficult. The author sees existential questions as a key to the process of individualisation. People are presumed to be equal, yet we are all unique. Meeting the expectations of society, adapting to rules of cohabitation, is a journey of self-determination. Individual traits may become a basis for self-expression.
