On Nov 26, 2024, the RCCCA was awarded the title of Cultural RIches Promoter of the Year by the municipality, for the project that saw the building of new lighting fixtures at the Centre. Project manager Kairi Orgusaar, mentor Meelis Tähepõld, work done by local artist community.
With its unique exhibition space, this place has been bringing professional art from both the Estonian and foreign arenas to the country for more than 10 years. In addition, it is a nest of county artists, where people learn and create. Almost every exhibition has included a one-time lighting solution that had to be installed separately every time. The powerful leap in development in 2024 brought a state-of-the-art lighting rail frame and modern luminaires that allow the creation of highly demanding and unique lighting solutions. The success was ensured by consistency and the clever involvement of a top expert in the field and a community of artists.
The Deed of the Year award is the custom-made work “Harmony” by Kairi Orgusaar (Kunivorm OÜ), the honeycomb patterns of which aptly depict civil society. The bee bird community works as a wonderful whole, while each bee has its own journey. Everyone’s contribution maintains common ground and creates new values. However, the honeycomb pattern hexagon is the strongest naturally occurring structure that can bear the greatest weight with the least amount of material. Just like an active, cohesive and supported civil society.
