Ines-Issa Villido is a sculptor and world-seeker whose works intertwine environmental themes with artistic forms. The sculpture “Venus” is created from cigarette butts, forming a strong and spatially impressive whole. The physical presence and handling of the material is important in the sculptor’s work, where a dense formal structure and a clear silhouette are born through repetitive elements. Both works “The Whale” and “Venus” combine the classical imagery with the choice of modern and eloquent material.
